My Legal Translation Services are Unique
A bilingual (French, English) attorney-linguist
I conceived my services as an independent translator as a "go-to" resource for international lawyers engaged in sophisticated transactions in jurisdictions necessitating the translation of legal documents from French into English.
As a highly successful attorney with over thirty years of substantive international legal experience in private practice, as a general counsel and as an international legal consultant, I possess actual and practical knowledge of key legal concepts, principles and content in numerous domains. I understand the importance of preserving the integrity of the original document, whether in an operational, transactional or dispute resolution context. For me, the transition to French to English legal translation was a natural one.
In recent years, my focus has evolved into broader translation participation for companies, law firms, banks and individuals. I continue to serve an established base of international companies, law firms and individuals engaged activities between the anglophone and francophone countries internationally, often relating to foreign nations.
In addition, I have a specialty international arbitration practice and litigation practice (for French and Belgian enforcement and challenge, and French and Belgian courts at trial and appeal levels), for awards, judgments, orders, pleadings, expert and legal opinions, and other documentation.
Application of principles of ethical conduct are paramount in the provision of legal translation services and should, in certain instances, reflect those applicable to the legal profession. I am certified under US attorney professional responsibility rules and considerations regarding confidentiality and avoidance of conflict of interest issues in the provision of my services.
All projects, including high-profile projects, are managed with complete discretion.
I have served scores of international law firms, multinationals and specialized language service providers, with millions of words successfully translated from French to English.
Previously US-based and operating as TRANSJURIDIQUE, I am now based in Paris, France.

BJM
A native New Yorker, I have been traveling to and around France for almost five decades as a student, visitor and in professional positions with French and international companies and law firms. France is my pays d'adoption.
A graduate of Harvard University, with a BA cum laude in French History and Literature, and of Georgetown University, with a Juris Doctor, I have additionally received a Certificat d'Etudes in French studies from Université de Paris - Sorbonne. I am admitted to the practice of law in the States of New York, Massachusetts and California, and I am currently registered in the State of New York.
My legal experience in France commenced during summers of my law school years at Georgetown with the Paris-based headquarters of a global brand and of a global law firm. Since admission to the practice of law and during over thirty years as a successful attorney in high profile positions, I have served as a corporate and tax attorney, with an international practice, as a company general counsel (including as general counsel, Europe, Middle East and Africa, for a Fortune 50 company and as general counsel, North America, the Caribbean, the South Pacific and Asia for a major French global group), as a key corporate executive, and as a legal consultant to Paris-based global law firms, multinationals and individuals. My legal experience has been in executive level positions, and my experience as a corporate representative and negotiator is extensive.
WHO I AM

My areas of legal practice have focused in the following areas: corporate, commercial, transactional, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust and competition, real estate, intellectual property, litigation and arbitration, labor and employment, environmental, finance, tax and banking, and trusts and estates.
With my activities now fully dedicated to the provision of the highest quality of French to English legal translations, I remain active and engaged in the law, current French culture and the proactive art of translation.
An important aspect of my life has also been involvement in the arts and participation on the boards of directors of non-profit companies. My current activities include service as an active volunteer French to English translator for Translators without Borders and participation in the Museum Circle of the Perez Art Museum Miami. I am an avid runner (including marathons), fitness enthusiast, international traveler, jazz and classical music aficionada, and lover of the great outdoors. I also frequently visit Paris and France generally.
