French Legal Translation in Paris
Born in New York, I travelled to France first as a student, and later as a lawyer. I am now Paris based and France is my adopted home.

I graduated from Harvard University with a BA cum laude in French History and Literature, and from Georgetown Law with the degree of Juris Doctor. I additionally received a certificate of French studies from the Université de Paris – Sorbonne. I am admitted to the practice of law in the United States in New York, Massachusetts and California.

My legal experience, with a French and European Union focus, began during my years at Georgetown Law, as a summer associate in the Paris headquarters of an international corporate group and in the Paris office of a global law firm. As an attorney with 24 years of law practice, I have worked in a global law firm with a specialization in corporate and taxation law and in other law firms as a corporate attorney. I have significant experience in working within corporations learning, pragmatically and constructively, how businesses operate. This experience included service as General Counsel for publicly listed companies, including for a Fortune 50 corporate group as General Counsel EMEA and for a major French corporate group as General Counsel North America, the South Pacific and Asia. I have importantly also served as an adviser and consultant for Paris-based law firms, companies and individuals.
I attained my legal “know – how” in executive and senior-level positions and possess significant experience as a corporate representative and negotiator. I have served on the Boards of Directors of nonprofit and for-profit companies.

My legal practice as both an attorney and General Counsel has involved advising in numerous fields, including, corporate, commercial, transactional, mergers and acquisitions, competition law, real estate, labor/employment, arbitration and litigation, real estate, intellectual property, environmental, taxation and banking law.

French Legal Translation | Since founding Transjuridique 15 years ago, my sole activity has been, and is, as a French to English lawyer-linguist. I have used my legal background to complement the provision of French to English legal translations of the highest quality and accuracy. My international client base as a French legal translator includes international corporate groups having a connection to France. Some are publicly listed companies.Many clients are global law firms. I remain current in all fields of the law, contemporary French culture and the proactive and rapidly evolving art of legal translation.
